Real Life

It’s not often we get a “real life” picture of us actually in the dream.

June 1, 2013, we walked down the aisle in the family haybarn that now stores equipment.
Didn’t know then what all that walk would hold.
Fast forward—and here we are… still walking one.
Our aisle never had carpet, it was dirt floors, straw, and family in folding chairs.
now it’s gravel under our boots and hanging baskets overhead.
From dirt floors and straw, to gravel and grit.
What started as my dream… turned into our reality.
And somewhere along the way, it quit being about plants and turned into building a life.
There’s been days we’ve walked this aisle exhausted…
days we didn’t know if we were getting it right…
days the weight of it all felt heavier than anything we signed up for.
But there’s also been the good ones—
the rewarding days, the milestones, the “look how far we’ve come” moments that hit you out of nowhere.
The firsts.
The growth.
The prayers answered in ways we didn’t even expect.
This picture?
It’s not staged. It’s not perfect.
It’s just two people… still choosing to walk side by side.
Still choosing the dream—even on the hard days.
Still showing up.
And if I’m being honest…
that might be the greatest blessing of all.
